Contribution Of The Project For The Economic Development And Social Welfare Of The Partner CountryTri Thanh- Le
The project has made good progress towards contributing to economic development, evidenced by the following:
– An MOU has been signed between LJMU and MerseyMaritime, a cluster of more than 2000 enterprises in North West England. This will potentially pave the way for business investments from the UK to Vietnam.
– Discussions and data collection is being in progress between LJMU, VNU-UET, VMU and the two Vietnam industrial partners Greenport and PTSC, as well as the UK industrial partner Port of Liverpool. The improvements brought by this research will potentially promote growth and create new jobs for Haiphong, Vung Tau and North West England regions where this port locates.
– A logistics research network between the UK and Vietnam is being developed. In the long run it will potentially help improve the local logistics industry, leading to better economic development.
