LQDTU President visit to LJMU

In 6th and 7th June 2016, a delegation of the Le Quy Don Technical University (LQDTU), Hanoi, Vietnam led by Professor Nguyen Cong Dinh – LQDTU President paid a working visit to Liverpool John Moores University. Members of the delegation were Assoc. Prof. Le Ky Nam – LQDTU Vice-President, representatives from Department of International Cooperation, Department of Science & Technology, Institute of System Integration and others.

Addressing at the meeting, Dr Edward Harcourt – Pro-Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement) LJMU presented his warm greetings to the LQDTU delegation and thanked for their working visit to LJMU. Professor Nguyen Cong Dinh as a representative of LQDTU gave a brief overview of LQDTU, as well as suggested cooperation possibilities between the two institutions, especially in the area of renovating logistics services in Vietnam as a part of the UK-Vietnam research partnership.

In the framework of the visit, the LQDTU experts also had discussions with the staff of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Department of Maritime and Mechanical Engineering.

Professor Nguyen Cong Dinh extended his deep appreciation to LJMU for the warm hospitality, as well as expressed his wish to cooperate with the University in the fields that the two sides are interested in. He also hopes that cooperation between LQDTU and LJMU will be promoted in the near future.
